The Field Guide: Your In-App Help Center
The Field Guide is your go-to resource for contextual help, AI-powered assistance, and note-taking, all without leaving the Strategy Overview page. You can access it by clicking the Help (?) icon in the top right corner.


Guide Tab
The Guide tab provides detailed, field-level documentation for the page you are currently viewing. It explains what each feature does and how to use it.
Key Features Covered:
- Strategy Filters: Explanations for All, Passed, Needs Review, Failed, N/A, and Flagged statuses.
- Entity Selection: How to filter by entity and use the "All Entities" view.
- Savings Summary: What the 1, 5, and 10-year savings projections mean.

AI Assistant Tab
The AI Assistant tab provides an interactive chat interface powered by OpenAI. You can use it to:
- Ask questions about specific tax strategies. (e.g., "Explain the Augusta Rule in simple terms.")
- Get definitions for tax terminology.
- Understand the requirements for a particular strategy.
- Explore best practices for client communication.

Notes Tab
The Notes tab is your private scratchpad for the tax plan. It's perfect for:
- Documenting client preferences and conversations.
- Recording the rationale behind your decisions.
- Tracking follow-up items and questions.
- Keeping a record of your review process for compliance purposes.

Generating and Viewing Client Reports
After you have reviewed all strategies and clicked the "Confirm & Lock" button on the Strategy Overview page, the system will generate the final, client-ready PDF reports.
Step 1: PDF Generation
The system will display a modal indicating that the PDFs are being prepared.
Step 2: The Report Viewing Page
Once generation is complete, you will be taken to the Report Viewing page. This page serves as the central hub for accessing the final client deliverables.
Page Components:
- Header: Shows the client name, date, and who prepared the plan.
- Download All PDFs Button: A convenient button to download all generated reports (for all entities) in a single click.
- Report Cards: Each entity (e.g., 1040, 1120S) has its own card with two options:
- View PDF: Opens the report in a new browser tab for a quick preview.
- Download: Saves the PDF report directly to your computer.
- Navigation Buttons:
- Back to Editor: Takes you back to the Strategy Overview page if you need to make changes.
- View All Plans: Navigates to the Tax Plan History page.


Slide-by-Slide PDF Report Walkthrough
The generated PDF is a professional, 14-page document designed to be presented directly to your client. Let's walk through each section.
Page 1: Cover Page
Purpose: Establishes professional branding and clearly identifies the client and preparer.
Content: Title, client name, date, preparer name, and Uncle Kam logo.

Page 2: Executive Summary
Purpose: Provides a high-level overview of the plan's value.
Content: A brief introduction, a summary of the total projected savings, and a list of the key strategies included.

Page 3: Tax Savings Overview
Purpose: Visually demonstrates the financial impact of the tax plan.
Content: A prominent chart or graph showing the year-by-year savings and a clear breakdown of the 1, 5, and 10-year total savings.

Pages 4-12: Strategy Details
Each major strategy gets its own dedicated page or section, providing a deep dive into the recommendation.
Page 5: Key Strategies
Purpose: Highlights a specific, high-impact strategy with visual aids.
Content:
- Strategy Name: (e.g., S Corp Optimization)
- Description: Explains the benefit and who it applies to.

Content:
- Reinvestment Scenario: A clear statement of the annual reinvestment amount and assumed rate of return.
- Growth Projections: 5-year and 10-year growth figures.
